  2. This is a timely exposition of what can be done in higher education to develop a holistic program for university sudents. The three writers each describe and encourage lateral thinking of what is too often neglected from higher education, namely, a focus on values and spirituality. The latter term frightens many, yet spirituality lies at the heart of the educational endeavour.

The writers are critical of the current stste of the Academy, and all engaged in the education of the next generation would benefit from considering the arguments put forward in this text.

  3. When I read academic articles and books I place great merit in the bibliography. I like to know what authors and resources are used, who is ignored etc. In other words, I like to see who is valued by researchers and writers. In the field of spirituality in higher education, this wonderful book is cited in almost every bibliography. It is a pivotal and essential resource. It is well structured, clearly written. The topics are well explored. It is a stimulating collection of well rounded articles.
