And earning your education degree can help you make a difference too; a positive, motivating difference. Teachers continually educate the masses, enabling societies to function as literate, intelligent people – and earning a college degree in education is where it all starts.

Education degrees come in lots of shapes and sizes. As with any degree, the kind of career you’re considering will influence the type of degree you should seek. For example, an education administrator, (like a school principal) can often be required to have a Master’s or even Doctoral degree, while an English teacher at the same school might only need to carry a Bachelor’s degree and teaching certification. Because of the variation in degree and certification requirements, it’s always a good idea to do thorough research before deciding on a career path. You know: homework.
